Lumières en Seine, a Stone's Throw from Paris

A perfect way to spend your winter evenings… Venture down the Lumières-en-Seine fairytale light trail, returning to the Domaine National de Saint-Cloud for its fourth edition with never-before-seen light projections, bringing 2024 to a spectacular close and launching 2025 in the most beautiful of ways.

Situated to the west of Paris, on the banks of the Seine and on a hillside, the national estate of Saint-Cloud covers 460 hectares and enjoys an exceptional setting on the outskirts of the capital. The main entrance to the park is at the Clemenceau Gate, which can be found on the western bank of the Seine by the Pont de Saint-Cloud.

By metro: Line 10 - stop Boulogne-Pont de St-Cloud, exit ‘avenue de Maréchal de Lattre de Tassigny’.
By bus : 
  • Lines 52, 72, 126, 175, 460, 467 - Parc de St-Cloud stop
  • Route 160 - Pont de St-Cloud-Albert Kahn stop

The experience

What is Lumières en Seine? It's an illuminated, musical and immersive trail of around 1.2 miles long, on which you will pass through a magical setting of illuminated animations.
Where does Lumières en Seine take place?

Lumières en Seine takes place in the Domaine national de Saint-Cloud, just outside Paris.

You can access via the Clemenceau Gate (the pedestrian entrance on the Pont de Saint-Cloud side of the Seine).

As the Saint-Cloud park has several entrances, we recommend that you plan your route in advance to arrive on time.

What are the opening hours and days?

Lumières en Seine is open from Friday November 15th, 2024, every evening (except Mondays and Tuesdays outside school holidays, December 24th and 31st), from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Entries occur every 15 mins, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The last entry is at 9:00 PM.

How much do tickets cost? Please check the prices on the ticketing link.
How long does the tour last? The route is around 1.2 miles long and takes between 1h and 1h30m, but of course this depends on your pace and the time you allow for each activity.
Is the course suitable for wheelchairs and baby carriages?

We are in a natural environment (park, forest...) where some of the terrain could pose difficulties (gravel, pebbles, uphill sections...).

The route could be described as "difficult" for wheelchairs and "sporty" for baby carriages, as there are some uphill passages, but stewards are on hand at the entrance to help you in the most difficult places. Don't hesitate to ask them.

We encourage parents of young children to use baby carriers.

How do I get to Lumières en Seine?

The entrance to Lumières en Seine is at Clemenceau Gate (Domaine national de Saint-Cloud). It is essential to use public transport, as there is no parking close to the event:

By metro:

  • Line 10, stop Boulogne-Pont de St-Cloud, exit "avenue de Maréchal de Lattre de Tassigny" on the left, then cross the St-Cloud Bridge.

By bus:

  • Lines 52, 72, 126, 175, 460, 467, Parc de St-Cloud stop
  • Route 160, Pont de St-Cloud-Albert Kahn stop
  • Line 260, Rhin et Danube-Musée Albert Kahn stop (take avenue Maréchal de Lattre de Tassigny, then cross the St-Cloud bridge)

By train:

  • Line L and U Saint-Lazare or La Défense to Versailles rive-droite or Saint-Nom la Bretèche: St-Cloud stop

Parking:

  • Parking around the park is very difficult. We strongly recommend that you use public transport. There is no nearby parking for PRMs.

Is the course sheltered?

The course is open-air and therefore not protected from bad weather. Please note that Lumières en Seine will remain open during such circumstances.

In the event of strong gusts of wind, the Domaine national de Saint-Cloud reserves the right to close the park and consequently Lumières en Seine. Please check on the official website or social networks that the event is open before coming.

What should I wear? Wear suitable clothing according to the weather forecast and appropriate footwear for outdoor excursions. Bring your umbrella, just in case!
Is there a checkroom? Are suitcases accepted? Suitcases are not accepted. There will be no checkrooms or lockers at Lumières en Seine. Bring a handbag or small backpack that you can easily carry along the route.
Will the event be cancelled in the event of bad weather?

The course is open-air and therefore not protected from bad weather. Please note that Lumières en Seine will remain open during such circumstances.

Can I bring a drone? No, drones are not allowed at Lumières en Seine.
Are dogs allowed? No, dogs are not allowed.
Are there food and beverage outlets? The route has various outlets offering savory and sweet treats, as well as hot and cold drinks. We invite you to stop off at Place du Carrousel to discover our gourmet chalets. Credit cards and cash accepted.
Can I drink alcohol at Lumières en Seine?

When purchasing alcohol at one of our refreshment stands, you will be asked for valid identification to confirm that you are 18 years of age. It is forbidden to bring alcohol onto the course from outside, and any alcoholic beverages purchased on site must be consumed before leaving.

Alcohol is dangerous for your health, and should be consumed in moderation.
